Task:
A supplier to the automotive industry needed a sensor system to retrieve the status of a convertible top. In particular, the signals “closed” and “open” were to be queried.
Solution:
In collaboration with the customer, Engberts developed a sensor system comprised of a circuit board with micro switch and plug. Next, prototypes were designed and assembled, followed by series production later on. Meanwhile, the locking sensors are used throughout the entire enterprise and Engberts produces up to 40,000 pieces at their premises.
